Books that Have Changed My Life

Just recently, two different books have been brought to me by the Lord to teach me some incredibly important and timely messages in my life and in my ministry. Sharing them with you is to me one of the most important things I can do on this blog, because they have done a huge part in rescuing me from my own version of Christianity... rather I want HIS version of Christianity.

If you get your hands on them somehow you will be soooooo blessed and touched and enlightened. Each contains a message that is pertinent for our generation and for our phase of Christianity right now in the US and the world. Each will take you deeper into Jesus, drive you to your knees, and enlighten you concerning his work in this world in the 21st century!

Organic Church - Neil Cole

I am avidly searching for the definition of church - Christ’s definition. And the church that raised me (and to whom I am most grateful) I do not believe is it at its essence. It has too much else added on. It’s “Jesus + ...” Neil Cole has, in my opinion, removed all the extra and found the essence, the DNA, of the church, at its simplest.

Anyone who shares a burning desire to fulfill the great commission should read this book!

I just bought half a dozen of these books, so if you would like to read a few chapters of this book to sample it before reading the whole thing, just let me know...

Revolution in World Missions - K.P. Yohannan

Dr. KP Yohannan will greatly encourage you with stories of what God is doing among the unreached of Asia. Many have said recently that other than the Bible, this book has had the greatest impact on their life of any book they'd ever read! I can already sense that time will show that this will be the same for me too... It's that powerful!

You can get the world missions book free by going to gfa.org (gospel for asia). You'll see a link and I think you just have to do a quick free sign up and then they send you the book free of charge, no strings attached. I did it and I will never be the same.

I also just bought a gaggle of these books to give to every sincere Christian I know...

Thanks for listening to my recommendations. I have read a lot of books on church growth, small groups, prayer, missions... but never any like these two. I guarantee that they will be worth the small investment of time that they take to read the first few chapters to sample! They are not specifically about dictrine, but rather the heart and purpose behind Christ's message. They are so awesome.
